So, experienced strategy gamers are preferred but if you don't mind learning some relatively complicated rules, we are happy to teach. We are always looking to recruit others to the die-hard boardgamer cult. Welcome!

Together, we will discuss game theory, game ideas, design concepts, the process of prototyping, playtest existing designs …

Dominion is a fun, easy to learn, deck building card game. Each player starts with an identical, very small deck of cards. In the center of the table is a selection of other cards the players can "buy" as they can afford them. Through their selection of cards to buy, and how they play their hands as they draw them, the players construct their deck on the fly, striving for the most efficient path to the precious victory points by game end. 2-5 players. The game usually takes 30-45 minutes. No gam …

Play chess like your life DOESN'T depend on the outcome! Ideal players are adults who know at least the basic rules, but don't take the game too seriously. You should be open to playing with a beer/glass of wine close at hand. You should have a very relaxed attitude about winning/losing. Women certainly welcome! Just for fun, fun, fun, and the chance to stay in practice. BYOCB (bring your own chess board) if possible.

The SF & Bay Area Old School Fantasy RPG Society seeks hearty adventurers who long for the early days of fantasy roleplaying - the danger, the challenges and the hope that, one fine day, tall tales of outlandish bravery and death-defying feats will be told about you over a hearty glass of dwarven ale... The society is not dedicated to one game or one gaming system. Rather, we welcome like-minded souls and strive for an active community where multiple games and systems see the top of the table. O …
