We want to have something fun to do close to home, meet new friends and get out of the house (even if we just go to someone else's house!). Our activities are designed to have socialization as well as an activity. For example, we won't just meet to see a movie together, we'll hang out afterwards and get coffee and chat so we can get to know one another. … Activities may include dining out, going on nature walks, viewing classic movies, playing board games, attending local festivals, plays, and art shows, etc. Anyone musically or artistically inclined who wishes to provide some entertainment may feel free to bring his/her guitar, poetry, latest art piece, etc. to share with the group on any of these days if nothing else is planned.
