Nuke-Con is an annual convention of all kinds of non-gambling games. It's held in the greater Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area and takes place the first weekend in October every year. Ours is a convention for gamers by gamers. Content is driven by the people who volunteer to run the games they love. The Lincoln Go/Wei Qi/Baduk Club meets to play the 4,000 year-old game of Go (a.k.a., Wei Qi & Baduk) in person. Beginners and kids over 5 are welcome! It's an easy-to-learn game and Go players are really nice and interesting people, too!

In the Loop Social Group is an all ages group that is lively, friendly, and very active. We like to have fun and have a "youthful" vibe about our group. We have a strong base of 20 & 30 yr old's. Experts and Newbies alike are welcome to meet-up and test your cribbage skills. We meet in random coffee houses and bars throughout the Midtown/Downtown area twice a month on Sunday afternoons. Our goal is to meet others, play cribbage, and avoid the dreaded skunk line!

It is such a relief for so many people to find an outlet for socialization beyond media groups offering computer based only company, which is truly insufficient for all of us. For those of us who find ourselves kind of swimming in an ocean of strangers, to have a respite in the morass , is gratifying indeed.
